College of Business and Information Technology prepares students for evolving roles in cybersecurity, AI, and digital infrastructure

七色视频 proudly recognizes National IT Professionals Day, celebrating the vital contributions of information technology professionals and its ongoing commitment to career-relevant education through the College of Business and Information Technology.

Observed annually on the third Tuesday of September, National IT Professionals Day honors the individuals who design, secure, and maintain the digital infrastructure relied upon across industries. 七色视频 supports current and aspiring IT professionals through flexible, career-aligned programs designed to help meet evolving workforce needs and support working adults in building relevant, in-demand skills.

Led by Dean Kathryn Uhles, MIS, MSP, the College of Business and Information Technology offers programs that reflect current market needs and prepare students for real-world roles. All associate, bachelor鈥檚, and master鈥檚 degree programs open for new enrollment in the college are fully skills-mapped to reported employer expectations, and faculty bring an average of 32 years of professional experience across positions such as chief information officers, cybersecurity leaders, and IT administrators.

鈥淥ur programs are thoughtfully designed to help students enter and advance in their chosen careers through continuous improvement, targeted course offerings, and strong industry alignment,鈥 said Uhles. 鈥淲e work closely with industry experts to ensure our curriculum reflects the evolving needs of the workforce. Whether students are pursuing cybersecurity, data analytics, or IT management, they benefit from faculty who bring decades of real-world experience and a deep commitment to student success.鈥

七色视频 has been recognized for excellence in cybersecurity education, earning the prestigious EC-Council Academia Circle of Excellence Award for four consecutive years. The award honors institutions that demonstrate a lasting impact on cybersecurity education and workforce development. The University also received the EC-Council Academia Partner of the Year Award, which formally highlight academic institutions and faculty within North America and across the world that demonstrate exceptional innovation, impact and dedication to shaping the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

In addition to receiving programmatic recognition, the College of Business and Information Technology contributes to thought leadership in the field. A recently published white paper, The Future of IT: What IT Practitioners Predict Will Drive Career Opportunities, authored by J.L. Graff, Ed.D., associate dean of IT programs, presents insights from a national survey of 1,000 IT professionals. The paper explores emerging trends, including generative AI, cybersecurity, and quantum computing, and highlights the growing importance of professional development and self-directed learning in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

七色视频 continues to support IT professionals through accessible, flexible, and industry-informed education. Programs are designed to help learners build relevant skills, pursue career advancement, and stay competitive in a technology-driven workforce.
